What others say about us
"I chose Lion after various introductions and research into a variety of training establishments for my new chosen career .
What struck me most about Lion was the quality of the information and the varied delivery processes used.
There is a wealth of experience that has given me direction and the ability to self evaluate and make pro-active progress using the processes demonstrated and put into practice.
Lion isn't just a company; it is an institution which combines integrity, forward thinking, and value for money, with that personal touch of one2one."

"Lion Driver Training may not be the largest of training companies but by far the best!!
After deciding to become an ADI I had interviews with other larger training companies but found Lion to be the most professional company who offer training of the highest standard at the most competitive rates.
Steve made training sessions enjoyable and was always only a phone call away.
After 9 months I had passed all of my exams. I had the career I always wanted"

"I found that my lessons with Steve to be always on the mark. What seemed to be a difficult issue to teach was made to look very simple by Steve.
The teaching techniques I have been taught I use in my everyday lessons and I am experiencing good success with my students because of them.
I would certainly recommend Steve's training, excellent."

"Having recently retired from a professional environment and wanting to work to my obvious strengths, my natural progression was to choose a career as a driving instructor.
My attention was drawn to the glossy brochures of national training schools and my choice was made.
Unfortunately, having parted with a substantial amount of money, the national driver instructor training school chosen, either did not deliver their promises made or deliver a proper training schedule in order for myself to progress.
Scouting the local and national papers and feeling at rock bottom, an advert in the local paper drew my attention to Lion school of motoring and Steve Howell.
On meeting Steve it was evident that this was no normal driver training school working on empty promises and I found that the verbal commitment made by Steve was second to none. I made up my mind and stepped into the “Lions Den”
The time and effort made by Steve could never be matched by the larger national companies and the one to one tuition gave back my faith in my chosen profession .
Steve can be summed up in one word and that is, “different.”
Different in the sense that he treats you as an actual individual and not as a group individual as a national company would.
I found that Steve worked with my strengths and weaknesses to achieve my goal in becoming a driving instructor which I believe my original choice of training company could not have done.
Thanks to Steve my goal has been reached but has it? Not if Steve has the final word!"

I originally began training with Steve in December 2005.
His training methods were more involved being on a more personal level i.e. one to one and also included classroom work. Steve’s knowledge of the driver training industry is second to none.
He has a thorough knowledge of what is required by examiners in the part III test.
He is also aware that we are going to be out training pupils on a day to day basis so his training encompasses every aspect needed to help in this area. He has helped me to develop my skills and knowledge to a high standard, which was reflected in my achievement of a grade 5 in my part III.
I am now able to pass on quality training to my Learners, a large majority of whom pass first time, but hopefully they will always adopt a safe, responsible attitude to driving, which is what I was trained to teach them.

When I decided I wanted to become a driving instructor I started looking around at the various places that I could begin my training and found it was not easy to decide which school or “college” to choose.
After approaching a number of these establishments my task was not made any easier!
Quite by chance one day, whilst browsing the phone book, I came across the number of the Lion School of Motoring and thought why not give it a try.
Steve answered the phone and explained everything that I needed to know in a friendly not pushy manner, which I had experienced at a number of other places.
I soon decided to go with Lion, and have not regretted my move at all.
I did Part one on my own and passed Part two at the second attempt, though I must stress the first failure was a fault I have nobody to blame but myself, and can only give Steve credit for putting me back on track and getting me through the exam three weeks later.
I am now into my Part three studies and looking forward to achieving my goal in the near future.
Steve has accommodated my needs, times and frequency of lessons etc. without fault and I can only recommend Lion School of Motoring to anybody wishing to learn in a friendly and professional atmosphere.
