Why Lion?

Lion is recognised and approved by the DSA as a Driving Instructor Training establishment that has met the highest DSA criteria for preparing and delivering their Approved Driving Instructor Training syllabus. As such, we have been entered onto the DSA ORDIT Register. (The Official Register for Driving Instructor Training).

Inclusion on the ORDIT Register is more than just indicating that your instruction has been inspected and that you offer good quality training, it’s also declaring that the DSA have inspected your premises, vehicles, student records, and study materials. You are also declaring that you will abide by the Codes of Practice set down by the ORDIT Register.

“Following discussions between The Driving Standards Agency, (DSA) and representatives from the driver training industry it was agreed that both instructors´ and the public’s best interests would be served by a single register or directory of suitably qualified and inspected trainers and establishments.
The ORDIT register has therefore been compiled which contains a list of establishments, set out in post code order, that following inspection by the DSA have satisfied the inspection criteria under the voluntary scheme of minimum training standards.

Those that are seeking approved driving instructor, (ADI), training or retraining can approach any of these establishments in the confidence that they have reached the standard set down.

Nonetheless, enquirers are advised to contact more than one establishment and compare what they have to offer in order to decide which one best suits their needs”
