adiplus+©
was first introduced by Steve Howell in
2001.
It is a term designed to recognise the continual training and developmental
needs of ADI Instructors and trainees and the training and coaching methods used to achieve them.
Right from the beginning driving and instructional excellence has always been a priority of Lion.
adiplus+©
seeks to draw out excellence in insructors, concentrating on their most valuable commodity, themselves.
Lion uses training methods
which gives responsibilty back to the ADI and trainee to be the best they can
be and uses coaching skills as a vehicle to achive that purpose.
Steve
Howell, founder of Lion, has had great success using this method within
and without the driver training industry. He found that levels of
skill and professionalism developed more strongly having used adiplus+© as opposed to using PST application, role play and legislation.
Training
is basically an impartation of information which the trainer hopes the
student will utilise.Training on it's own cannot achieve levels of
commitment and professionalism. This has to come from the individual's
work ethic.
Coaching and training together develops the individual not just the skill levels of the individual and therefore the student sees and engages the benefits of Contiuous Professional Development.
adiplus+© reminds trainers and trainees alike that there is something more to qualifying.
